A Lesson in Red Worms

Today we learned just how determined little Red Wiggler worms can be to escape after transport. Our next Science unit is all about worms and composting! We got a couple thousand worms delivered and had to get them settled in temporary compost bins until our official bins arrive. When we left yesterday they were covered and secured (with air holes)....or so we thought! This morning I came in to a big surprise. Don't worry, most of the worms were okay and are now securely resting and settled in with some snacks and nice soil!
